Introduction

Zeina is a modern and clean phpBB theme designed to be fully responsive across all device types. With a user-friendly interface, support for RTL languages, and a built-in control panel, Zeina is easy to customize to match your forum’s needs. It also includes multiple color schemes out of the box.

The theme is built using HTML5 and follows WAI-ARIA standards to ensure accessibility. Its minimal CSS helps deliver faster load times and better performance.

Performance & SEO

We place a strong emphasis on both performance and SEO. That’s why we’ve:

  • Minified the CSS files.
  • Loaded external libraries only when needed.
  • Optimized the DOM structure by reducing unnecessary elements.

Libraries & Images Used

  1. Zeina relies primarily on the Tailwind CSS framework v3.4.1 for layout and styling.
  2. Instead of traditional image, we use SVG icons through the Iconify library v3.1.1, which provides access to thousands of open-source icons.
  3. For code syntax highlighting inside posts, we use the popular highlight.js library v11.9.0.
  4. Some forum icons used in this theme are based on or derived from the default phpBB prosilver icons, which are licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 (GPLv2).
  5. Header background images used in the demo are downloaded from Freepik.

Getting Started

If you haven’t installed phpBB yet, please refer to the official phpBB installation guide.

Once phpBB is installed, follow the steps in this documentation to install and configure the Zeina theme.
